Temporary Backflow Draining

Every autumn we start to get cold fronts that bring us periodic freezing temperatures.  During these periods of cold weather it is critical that you, the homeowner, temporarily drain your backflow preventer so that it doesn’t freeze and crack.  Repairing or replacing broken backflow preventers can be very costly to homeowners.
